Frequently asked questions
How ClockTap works today, grounded in what is actually in the product. The first five are the ones people ask before signing up.
No. ClockTap runs in a browser, so a phone, tablet, or computer you already own becomes the time clock. There is no scanner to buy and nothing to install.
Yes. Give an employee a personal login and they clock in from their own phone — useful for staff posted to a client site or working from home. You can run a shared device and personal phones side by side.
You can make it hard. Lock a location to its Wi-Fi, to a radius around the site, or to both, and ClockTap refuses any clock-in that arrives from outside. No phone check is tamper-proof, so where you need the strictest proof, keep a shared device at the door: a PIN typed on your own device is the hardest to fake.
ClockTap counts the hours and prices them, then hands you the result. It totals worked hours, lates, undertime, overtime, night hours, rest days, and holidays, and exports a payroll-ready timesheet or payslip. The payslip fills in the employee share of SSS, PhilHealth and Pag-IBIG, and leaves withholding tax to you. It files nothing and remits nothing, so you still run payroll where you run it today.
ClockTap needs a connection to record a clock-in, so a clock-in during an outage has to happen on another connected device — a supervisor phone on mobile data, for example. For anything missed, an employee files a correction and you approve it, so the timesheet still closes correctly.
Yes. That is the core problem ClockTap solves: instead of paper daily time records, logbooks, or shared spreadsheets, clock-ins are captured at a kiosk or on staff phones, and hours, lates, and overtime total automatically into payroll-ready timesheet exports.
Yes. ClockTap includes kiosk mode, so you can set up a shared device at any location, office, or client site for employee clock-ins and clock-outs.
Employees can clock in and out using PIN-based authentication from a shared device, or from their own phone when they work away from one.
Yes. Staff who work away from a shared device can clock in from their own phone. For on-site work, clock-ins can be locked to a site's network or to a radius around its location, so attendance is proof that they were there. For work-from-home staff, you can leave those restrictions off.
Yes. ClockTap supports multi-location management, whether those are branches of your own business or separate client sites. The Pro plan supports up to 5 locations, while Max supports up to 25 locations and 250 employees. Running more than that? Get in touch and we will size a plan with you.
Yes, from your own workspace. Each client site is a separate location with its own shifts, clock-in rules, holiday calendar, and pay rates — Pro covers 5 locations, Max covers 25 locations and 250 employees. Deployed staff clock in from their own phones, locked to the site's network or a radius around it, and you can assign a supervisor to a site so the site lead clears its approvals. Timesheets export one location at a time, so every client gets its own file. To be clear about the edges: your clients do not get their own login, ClockTap does not bill them, and it does not track a bill rate against a pay rate. You run the attendance, then hand over the export.

Yes. Starter is ₱0 a year for up to 5 employees at 1 location: PIN kiosk, phone clock-in, hours and overtime counted, and a timesheet export. No card and no trial clock. Timezone defaults to Asia/Manila and prices are in pesos. Holiday day types start on Pro.
Pro is ₱999/year for up to 50 employees and 5 locations, and Max is ₱2,990/year for up to 250 employees and 25 locations — flat Early Supporter rates per plan, not per employee, locked in while your subscription stays active. You can upgrade from the billing page once you sign in.
Yes. ClockTap is built for Philippine businesses first: pricing is in Philippine pesos, the timezone defaults to Asia/Manila, and per-location holiday handling understands regular holidays, special non-working days, and special working days.
Sprout is a full HR and payroll suite for Philippine enterprises, typically priced per employee per month and often deployed with biometric devices. ClockTap covers the attendance layer only: browser kiosk and personal-phone clock-ins with no hardware to buy, flat yearly pricing that starts free, and payroll-ready exports that feed whatever payroll process you already run. If your team needs dependable time tracking without rolling out a full HR platform, ClockTap is built for exactly that.
